Privacy Policy

HavenShare ("we", "us") provides an app for shared ownership of holiday homes, boats and other co-owned assets. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the processing.

Who is responsible

HavenShare operates the service and is responsible for your personal data. Contact: hello@havenshare.app.

What data we collect

• Account details: name, email, password (hashed).
• Content you create: havens, bookings, tasks, lists, costs, comments.
• Support messages you send us.
• Usage and technical data: device id, IP address, browser, logs and error reports.
• Payment data is handled by our reseller Paddle — we only store a reference (customer id, subscription status, last 4 digits of the card if Paddle shares it).

Why we process the data

• To provide and secure the service (legal basis: contract).
• To manage subscriptions, billing and support (contract, legal obligation).
• To prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interest).
• To improve the product via aggregated statistics (legitimate interest).
• To send important product information. Marketing emails only with your consent.

Who we share with

• Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record who handles payments, subscriptions, VAT and invoicing.
• Sub-processors for hosting, database, email and error monitoring, all bound by data processing agreements.
• Legal advisors and authorities when required by law.
• We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Data may be processed outside the EEA by our sub-processors. When this happens we ensure an adequate level of protection through the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep the data

Account details are kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data is removed or anonymised within 90 days, except where the law requires us to retain it (e.g. accounting records for 7 years).

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Sweden the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). Email us at hello@havenshare.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use industry standards for encryption in transit and at rest, access control and logging. No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to protect your data.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies for login and for the app to function. We do not use tracking cookies for marketing.
